Playoff
Tournament Tiebreakers - to determine winner of Bracket A (T1 / T14 / T15) should each team finish 1-1 |
1.
Best record in round-robin |
2.
Run Differential (Run differential is calculated by subtracting runs allowed
from runs scored. Best Run Differential will advance) |
Example: |
Team 1 (20 Runs Scored -
15 Runs Allowed = +5); Team 14 (13
Runs Scored - 17 Runs Allowed = -4); |
Team 15 (16 Runs Scored
- 17 Runs Allowed = -1) = Team 1 advances |
a. Should two of the three teams be tied
for the best run differential; the third team is eliminated and Playoff
head-to-head record determines winner |
b. If three teams are tied for run
differential, then highest seeded team advances |
Playoff
Tournament Tiebreakers - to determine winner of Brackets B / C / D |
1.
Best record in round-robin |
2.
Round-robin head-to-head |
a. If two teams are tied for the best
record, the winner of that game wins the bracket (assuming all have played
each other) |
b. If more than two teams are tied at the
end of the round-robin and one team has beaten all teams that it is tied
with, that one team will win the bracket |
otherwise the team with the higher regular
season seeding will win the bracket. |
Seeding
of teams for the Quarter-finals will be from 1-4 amongst all four bracket
winners based on Regular Season seeding |
Playoff
Tournament Tiebreakers - to determine wild card teams - all brackets. |
1.
Best record (winning percentage) in round-robin amongst non-bracket winners |
a. Teams that finished 2-1 advance and are
placed in Quarter-finals based on end of regular season seeding until four
wild card slots are filled. |
b. If there are more than four 2-1 teams,
the teams with the top four end of regular season seedings advance. |
c. If there are less than four 2-1 teams
and if the 1st seeded team does not win their bracket and finishes 1-1, that
team is placed in Quarter-finals until wild card slots are filled. |
d. If wild card slots are still not
filled, then remaining teams that finished 1-2 are placed in Quarter-finals
based on end of regular season seeding until wild card slots are filled. |
Seeding
of teams for the Quarter-finals will be from 5-8 amongst the wild card teams
based on Regular Season seeding |
Prioritization
of field assignments for week #3 of the playoffs |
1.
Games that will determine winner of the bracket where at least one of the
team needs to win to also make the playoffs |
2. Games
that will determine whether either team makes the playoffs as a wild card
team |
3. Games
that will determine whether one of the teams makes the playoffs as a wild
card team (the other team having already secured a playoff spot or been
eliminated) |
4. Games
that will determine winner of the bracket where both teams have already made
the playoffs (and thus outcome only affects seeding). |
5. Games
that may determine whether a
team makes the playoffs (results are dependent on what happens with other
games) |
